A New Year always brings us a renewed sense of purpose. No matter what we faced in 2023 the new year and the promises it holds shines like a bright star.

We will let go of past mistakes and let the lessons we learned mold us into what God intended for us. For he is the masterful potter.

We will make new friends but commit to stay in touch with old friends. For we know a friend loves at all times.

We will avoid toxic relationships and nurture the ones that lift us up. For God has called us to live in peace.

We will commit to paying it forward. Sharing our blessings with those less fortunate. For we will always reap what we sow.

We will use the talents and skills that God has given us and prepared in our hearts. We will use these talents to glorify God alone.

We will speak out against injustices and protect those that are weak. The spirit of God does not make us timid but gives us power.

We will believe in ourself because if God is for us, who can be against us?

We will give thanks in everything we do. Even the trials that come our way. We will then delight in the inheritance God has given us as heirs to heaven.

We will forgive the unforgivable, love the unlovable, offer kindness to those who seek to hurt us. We will practice patience and perseverance in times of stress. We will give grace to others since it was first given to us.

We will mess up and start over and that’s ok. Our lives aren’t meant to be perfect just a reflection of the love God has shown us.

May 2024 be the year you and I believe that we can do all these things. That we push forward when we don’t feel like pushing. That we look up to a loving God that just wants to know us. And maybe… just maybe we will make a difference in this crazy world.
